About DCSM
Diabetes and Cancer Society of Maldives (DCSM) was established in 26 April 2000, with the aim of creating awareness among the public on diabetes and cancer.
At present there are 207 registered patients and 253 registered volunteers of the society.
Our Objectives
To generate awareness about diabetes and cancer among the general public and patients of the diseases and to emphasis on the importance on prevention.
Generate interest towards DCSM and its program.
To help patients lead a normal life with their illnesses.
To act as a centre of information on diabetes and cancer.
Goals
Educate the population on
- Risk factors, screening and prevention
- Potential complications and treatment possibilities
- Diet and exercise
through screening, presentations, consultations and distribution of pamphlets.
